Mitsudo
"Mitsudo 密度" is a photographic and film-based gallery that explores human presence within dense urban environments across China and Japan, with a particular focus on Tokyo.
Built from an extensive archive of tens of thousands of images and clips, the project distills fleeting, often overlooked moments of everyday life into a curated collection that emphasizes movement, both physically through crowds and conceptually through time. The gallery frames these scenes as quiet observations of the "invisible" aspects of daily experience, shifting attention away from spectacle and toward the richness of the mundane.
Through still images that suggest motion and a film centered on flowing urban crowds, Mitsudo captures the human scale within vast cityscapes, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and find meaning in moments that typically pass unnoticed.
